Overview.

Our breast care service spans screening, diagnosis, surgery and survivorship in a single coordinated pathway. The one-stop breast clinic combines mammography, ultrasound and clinical assessment in a single visit, and every cancer case is reviewed at the weekly breast MDT alongside oncoplastic and reconstructive surgeons. Treatment plans are personalised, with shared decision-making at every step.

Questions before you book.

Average-risk women are offered mammography from age 40. Earlier screening is offered when family history or pathology indicates higher risk.

No. Most lumps are benign — fibroadenomas or cysts. We confirm with imaging and, if needed, a needle biopsy in the same visit.

Many cancers are treated with breast-conserving surgery (lumpectomy). When mastectomy is needed, immediate reconstruction is offered.

Yes. A female chaperone is offered for every examination, and family members are welcome in consultations.

Yes. Genetic counselling and BRCA testing are available through our high-risk clinic when indicated by family or personal history.

Where oncologically safe, we offer immediate reconstruction at the time of mastectomy, planned jointly with our plastic surgery team.
